Pre + Post Care for Your Eyebrow Tattoo Appointment

In preparation for your eyebrow tattoo appointment, please carefully read the pre and post-care information below.

All aftercare will be provided on the day of your appointment, including an aftercare ointment, written instructions, and a shower visor.

For health and safety reasons, please come alone to your appointment — no guests or children. Your session will take approximately 1.5–2 hours.

Microblading Clients Only

Before your appointment, please purchase an Emla or Numbit numbing cream from any pharmacy (approximately $9). You’ll only need a small 5g tube.

Apply the numbing cream 15–20 minutes before your appointment on clean, dry skin and cover with cling wrap.
There’s no need for precision — a pea-sized amount per brow is perfect.

Do not apply earlier than 20 minutes before your appointment, as this can affect how your skin retains pigment.

Parking

Street parking is available on adjacent streets. Alternatively, you may park directly in front of the studio along the grass/verge.

To ensure the best possible results, please avoid the following 48 hours before your appointment:

  • All forms of caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks, etc.)

  • Fish Oil, Krill Oil, or Evening Primrose Oil

  • Sun exposure or tanning

  • Advanced skin treatments (facials, chemical peels, etc.)

  • Ibuprofen or Aspirin

  • Alcohol consumption

  • Exercise on the day of your appointment

Top Tip

It is also best to wash your hair on the day of your appointment. That way you can leave it at the maximum amount of time before you need to wash it again. Washing your hair can be difficult as it is very important you do not wet your brows for the first 10 days.

Post-care

The healing process is crucial for achieving your best results. Your brows will go through four healing stages and may take 28–42 days to fully settle. Proper aftercare accounts for 90% of your healed outcome — following these steps will help you achieve the most even, lasting results.

Dos & Don’ts (First 10 Days)

Avoid:

  • Exercise or activities that raise body temperature (e.g., gym, sauna, swimming)

  • Getting your brows wet or exposed to hot steam

  • Makeup directly over your brows (this can cause infection)

If you don’t have a detachable shower head, opt for a lukewarm bath instead of a shower.

Do:

  • Apply Bepanthen 2–3 times daily for 10 days

  • Gently press the cream onto the brows — do not rub or slide

  • Wash hands thoroughly before application to avoid infection

Long term

Wear SPF over your brows once healed as the sun will fade your brows. Try not to use active skincare on your brows as this will fade your brows much faster.
